A Heart Just Like His!

Hermie the Common Caterpillar is someone I think we all can relate to.  I found myself having a similar conversation with God, just the other day.  I was looking at the outward things...wondering why it seems like I never add up to how I view other people.  I wanted to know why God made them special and unique and why I got stuck with just old common and ordinary me.  And even though I had watched this little preschool aged DVD with my children hundreds of times, I never applied it to me, until now.  I had barely finished my little question time with God, when He very quietly brought this little cute caterpillar to my mind.  It was quite clear that God was telling me the same thing He told Hermie and Wormie..."I'm not finished with you yet, I'm giving you a heart just like mine!"

We all have our moments when we question why or how or when things are going to go the way we wish they would go...but we just need to remember that God is the creator of the ant, the butterfly, the snail, and all of the miraculous things that we see everyday, and God also made you and I. God wants us to trust in Him and put our faith in Him and He will finish the work He has started in us, because God knows exactly what He is doing and He has not, nor will He ever, make a mistake; and that includes you!!

Thank You Father, for loving us, for making us and molding us, shaping us and working in us and through us.  Help us as we go through our daily routines to remember to trust you to finish the work you have started.  Thank you for giving us a heart just like Yours!!
